In 2002 over 12 years ago. I made the biggest mistake of my life. I managed a satellite installation business. I was on salary. We had contractors and we were slammed busy. I made an under the table deal - where I would make checks out to them and perform installations, we would split the money. I would cash the check. Yes I was wrong. I embarrassed myself and let my family down. There are no excuses. I knew that when I was confronted. I pled guilty to a felony. I paid the money back and was off probation in the minimum amount of time. I took full responsibility for everything. Yes thats my criminal history. I did bad. I choose to do good. Because thats who I want to be. Yeah its not very interesting yet it seems to empower people to constantly say whatever I offer is tainted. There are at times unforgivable acts. They maim and hurt for a lifetime. They must be dealt with at a higher price. But do you think maybe that since I paid the 8500 back - and it was over a decade ago - possibly - could we all get on with our lives?
