In 2008, our daughter, Nancy, was diagnosed with a rare Primary Immunodeficiency disease (PI) called CVID. It was the answer to a question we’d always had: why is she always sick? We learned that her immune system doesnt work. It’s a lemon. A total zero. (Nancys words) Fortunately, with a diagnosis and care of medical experts, Nancy is now receiving life-saving (and life-long) treatment. That’s why we’re reaching out. We are participating in the Immune Deficiency Foundation’s first Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency in NYC on Sunday, October 26, 2014. Funds raised will be used to support the IDF’s mission of improving the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life of people with primary immunodeficiency diseases through advocacy, education and research. We hope youll support our team in this important event Friends of Freckles...by making a donation. Please go to our 2014 New York City Walk page for more info! idf.donordrive/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.team&teamID=5320 Many thanks for your support, and to those of you who have already made donations.
