In 30 minutes it will be one year since I made the decision to not live in the controlling abusive marriage I was in! It is a bitter sweet moment to see everything I have over come in this past year. Thru false accusations; many court dates; a nasty custody battle;having almost very belonging of mine an my children stolen; and mostly finding out at the end of the day who my true friends are. I truly know the meaning of starting over. I look at my home and my walls have pictures and decor back on them, I have TVs in all the rooms again, I have a washer n dryer dishes an pots n pans and most of all my kids have clothes! I got a new car I maintained my job an even landed a much deserved promotion! There were times I truly didnt see any light at the end of the tunnel for me but I kept going, and tonight I look back at all the time, the pain, the money and can honestly say its nothing but a memory now. If any of yall ever find your self in a toxic relationship GET OUT, its hard but well worth it in the end. Know your own worth and dont let anyone take that from you! Im not where I need to be, but I thank god Im not where I use to be!
