In Jeremiah 50 we read of the elect coming against Babylon... Jeremiah 50:14-15 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the Lord. Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her. After commanding the elect to bend and shoot the how and spare now arrows, He then says to shout against her. Well in Jer 25 we read of the elect being commanded to prophesy all these things against Babylon.. Jeremiah 25:30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. In commanding them to prophesy against Babylon God begins by saying, therefore prophesy thou against them and all these words, and say unto them.... And now every everything else God says at this point is for us to do...that is he is commanding us to say... The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. God is saying in our declaration of this message that he will give a shout AS THEY THAT TREAD THE GRAPES, AGAINST THE INHABITANTS OF RHE EARTH. We know God says he will tread the unsaved in his anger as someone treading grapes in the winepress of his wrath (Rev 14 I think), but since the elect are coming in judgment with God to judge and since the theyseems to be referring to a group of people coming against the unsaved to tread them as grapes, could this be speaking about the elect treading the unsaved as grapes? If so, God also says that he will give a shout as THEY that tread grapes. Does this mean the elect will be giving a shout also against Babylon as again it says here? Jeremiah 50:15 Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her. What does this shout mean exactly? I have an idea but havent searched enough to narrow down exactly what it is, but this verses comes to mind: Psalm 47:5 God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. So maybe the elect shouting against Babylon is a sign that they are declaring Gods word since the shouting like the sound of the trumpet, which isnt gods word sounding maybe? Like this period of the last trumpet sounding over a prolonged period of judgment day like Revelation teaches? That this trumpet is sounding against Babylon? So maybe it seems very direct that this is to be declared to the world and not just the unsaved.
