In March 2014, when we shot this video, Junior Adriano was a high school senior in Anthony, Texas, a small town outside El Paso. He had no legal standing and very little in the way of support. Today, Junior says he is waiting for a U.S. government I.D. under DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, one of President Obamas executive actions on immigration. Hes not scared of Border Control any more, he says: Now Im able to show that permit that Im able to be here, go around the United States without no problems. So, like, now I do feel more American.
