In Mark 3:22-30 Jesus deals with a critical issue – the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. The scribes accused Jesus of being empowered by Satan, thus His work of goodness in healing people was not holy. Jesus deals with their accusations in a purely logical manner. I am convinced we do not think deeply enough about most issues. Jesus simply blew them away with His logic. Then He took His argument a step farther and showed them the danger they were facing by stating their position. They actually were speaking against the work of God through the spirit of God. He called this blasphemy against the Holy Spirit; and it is unforgivable. Please note a warning here for us today; when we speak against some religious work we do not understand; be careful. Just because you do not understand what has happened does not mean it is not of God. Just because you have never experienced what you see or hear does not mean it is not of God. Just because your friends or spiritual companions do not grasp the spiritual significant of the moment does not mean it is not of God. I am afraid we have put God in a box and we think we know all there is to know or have experienced all there is to experience. My friend, no box is big enough to contain our God. I have not totally figured Him out. I do not know all there is to know about Him. Therefore, I have journeyed to a place in my life of not judging others because my God is big enough to reveal to me that which I have not yet experienced or know if He so desires. But I must say His Holy Word, the Bible, is my strictest guide of knowing and understanding the work of God. However, it must not be view through man-made tainted lenses. How do you view the miraculous works of God?
