In My Honest Opinion....I think our Country would be in so much better shape if all of the Christians celebrating Christmas would possibly just do this instead.....Something God is pleading for.......Something that God really wants His people to do......Something I believe that God is waiting for His people to do... 2 Chronicles 7:14 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Why cant we unite and do this? This is what is REALLY IMPORTANT..... Forget the worlds ways Forget the worlds traditions Forget about the pulls and strongholds that this world has on you No longer worrying or caring for these worldly traditions No longer trying to gain the world No longer liking the things of this world No longer remaining friends with this world Lets just do What God really wants us to which is this 2 Chronicles 7:14 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (Yes this is worthy of repeating....) Jesus does not want us to celebrate His birthday...Jesus wants us to become stewards of His Word and He wants us to come out from this world and be ye separate......Jesus wants us to follow Him according to His ways and we must start by denying ourselves....Denying our likes and desires....Denying our thoughts and opinions...Denying our impulse reaction to things and stubbornness....Denying our pride and our selfishness.......Denying our fleshly instincts to do what ever we want........ Jesus wants us to RESIST....RESIST....RESIST...the devil, which is another way of saying GO AND SIN NO MORE.....Jesus wants us to rebuke the devil and fight off those fiery darts. Jesus wants us to put on our armor of God for protection and also for offensive measures. Jesus wants us to love each other, yet not condone sin. Jesus wants us to flee from sin...Run from sin...get away from sin....stop sinning.....no more sinning...Jesus did not die on the cross so we can continue to keep sinning.... So when I hear that Jesus is ok with people celebrating his birthday....I cannot agree because it is not found in the Bible, therefore I am not going to speak for him, thats crazy to think we can speak for our Lord on an issue that is not found in the Bible. to me, there is no longer a FEAR for the Lord within the church. People just go day to day making Jesus out to be what ever it is to make them feel good....They are redefining Christianity to suit their ways and to accompany their thoughts... What happened to understanding that Gods ways and Gods thoughts are not the same as our own therefore, we should be on our knees begging....BEGGING....PLEADING....PLEASE LORD.....PLEASE LORD.....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LORD show me your ways....Teach me your paths...Give me ears to hear your voice oh Lord Jesus....Give me eyes to see your ways, Oh Lord Jesus, as tears fall from our eyes, and as we clinch our fists tight, throwing our arms in the air, asking Jesus one more time, Please just give me a heart of understanding.......... We must make our relationship with Jesus ABOUT JESUS.....there is a reason the words I must decrease and He must Increase is such an outstanding phrase....It puts Jesus in the lead and it makes us humble...it helps us to be humble and just allow His grace to be sufficient for us all. We dont need to keep trying to gain the world. So please consider......That in my opinion, my most humble opinion, we have to put CHRIST back in the word Christian and make it all about Jesus...Because in truth and this may be harsh to some, do you really think Jesus is so overwhelmed with Joy and happiness as many offer a very warming thank you Jesus for being born and then the next day you choose to walk with the world? Words do not matter to Jesus..... Words do not matter to Jesus...... one more time Words do not matter to Jesus...... He wants action....He wants to see you deny yourself and actually follow Him and His ways and quit leaning on your own understanding. There is a lot of knowledge & Wisdom in this post if you allow yourself to get over yourself and just listen and learn. You have to make that choice. I want nothing more than for all of you to have the best relationship with Jesus ever....the only way this is possible is if you submit and surrender your whole life to Him and to his will that He has for you. This is when true peace exists...This is when true Joy explodes...This is when Hope is truly found....by submitting to Jesus!!! Much Love from me to you......before you want to attack me on the Christmas issue, I have heard all the insults and the false accusations and the anger and the trying to prove me wrong posts.....lets not go there this time...Lets just hear the message of what Jesus wants and what God wants and swallow our pride, humble ourselves and say yes Jesus...what would you want me to do for you today, Lord? I am doing this right now because at the end of the day, we are servants to the Lord, we should be doers of the word and not just hearers..... God Bless you all & much Love
