In Philippians 4:7 Paul says; And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.. Have you ever felt as if your heart is about to break? Maybe sometimes you worry that you will lose your minds? Then let me share this with you, both our hearts and minds need protection! When we let go of the defenses that have protected us for so long and we allow ourselves to be honest and vulnerable, it sometimes feels as if we will come apart. it is in these moments we can find courage in Gods promise of protection. Gods peace can guard our breaking hearts and our trouble minds. Notice that that Gods guardianship of our heart and mind in Jesus Christ! It is in Jesus that we see most clearly that God understands the danger to our hearts and minds! He can be trusted to guard us because He knows from personal experience the danger we face. It is in Jesus tha we see most clearly the power of God. He can be trusted to guard us because he is God. The peace of God is not a fantasy-based euphoria that helps us minimize or ignore our problems. Gods peace does not participate in denial. This peace is not another anesthetic, or another fix to alert our mood. It is the gentle guard that protects us so that we can face reality! It is the security that comes from knowing that God pays attention, that God is with us, that we are truly loved! Let God guard your heart and mind. Let Gods peace do its work in you. If you feel in danger and need protection, with His peace your heart and mind can rejoice! Just let God, continue his work and perfect his glory in your life. BLESSINGS!
