In a conference situation, you could have people speak at any time. You do your best to catch names, but often people spew out their names so fast and mumble it, you just cant catch it. Sometimes the best you can do is just indicate a new speaker with >> and/or have a speaker ID as >> AUDIENCE: Sometimes someone will toss the floor to another person by saying their name. Mr. Smith? Now you have a clue who this person is thats speaking. But how do you make the speaker ID come out correctly? I needed a way to have >> MR. SMITH: come out correctly. I sat down and played with various ways to accomplish this and finally came up with a macro. I write new speaker ID (Q bank), the persons name, and a stroke to invoke the macro that would search back to the last > and all cap and put a colon and cap next at the end. Yep! I got it to work! Its the details, all about the details!
