In a rare meeting with a Sage of uncommon wisdom, who shunned all - TopicsExpress

In a rare meeting with a Sage of uncommon wisdom, who shunned all publicity, for a life of quiet and peace, gave me a glimpse of a mind, which was beyond mediocrity. This happened a while ago, but dont know, why I am recounting it now. Me: Who is God? He: I can tell you, who is not God. Me: Please tell me? He: Nothing. Me: I dont understand? He: He is not to be understood, for He cant be. Intellectual speculation is like knowing how to open the lock, but not having the Key unfortunately. Me: Then what to do? He: Go for the Key. Me: What will that be? He: The Guru is Key to God. Me: Who is the Guru? He: One who has the Key and is willing to share it for free. The rest are Spiritual Charlatans, who fool you for a price. Me: How to recognize Him? He: You cant. He can and He will, only if you are ready. Me: Where do I start then? He: Stop your search for Him; let Him find you. Me: What then? He: The lock is within you. He will help you open them one by one, till you are standing face to face with Truth. Me: How? He: Thats not your concern. That is His! Let him do his job, while you do yours. Me: What is my job? He: The tree never grows keeping the fruits in mind. It simply grows and the fruits just happens. So keep growing within and when it has to happen, itll happen. Me: Is there a God in truth? He: There is no is God; He is always Here though. Me: Then what is Vaikunta and Kailasa? He: An external encouragement to find the internal one. Me: Who is Shiva and Vishnu then? He: Your forgotten intrinsic identity. Truly - ध्यानमूलं गुरुर्मूर्तिः पूजामूलं गुरुर्पदम् । मन्त्रमूलं गुरुर्वाक्यं मोक्षमूलं गुरूर्कृपा ॥ The Root of Meditation is the Form of the Guru, The Root of Worship is the Feet of the Guru, The Root of Mantra is the Word of the Guru, The Root of Liberation is the Grace of the Guru.
