In a small town in Saxony (Germany) yarn has been produced since - TopicsExpress

In a small town in Saxony (Germany) yarn has been produced since 1909. And in that same old building a company named ALTERFIL has been producing yarn for 20 years - dont worry, I m no spammer. That very company had given a 15*15cm frame to the (bobbin) lace makers world and asked: Do you have any idea how to fill that frame? Send us your lace square and well send you a 15€ coupon for shopping in our shop. Alterfil had asked and lacemakers are answering. This weekend (the date of the anniversary) they have shown the very first time the results of that action. I was there and Im still missing the right words (even in German). Theyve got more than 1500 (so far) and Im overwhelmed what / how lace can be. The action is called Das ist Spitze - Kreativ ohne Grenzen. That can be translated as That is lace or That is great / creative without limits or creative without borders. That pics show only a part of the result. From lacemaker from Germany or Czech Republic or Italy or .... The youngest participant 11 years old (or younger), the oldest 84 years old (or older)
