In all honesty it has been a second since I was here, Where I don’t fear the repercussion written between the lines Ready to give not only me a chance to exceed my expectations But for you to do the same, time is still waiting. It has been years since I jumped my gun and placed my trust in a girl Knowing, aware she is just like me human and fragile With the potential to change in each day the negatives in the world. I tend to over think every step of the way, a choice I take Every road I embrace, a new pair of shoes I break. Since a young age I believed in fairytales, they appealed to me Never really thought that I would have the chance to meet a princess Now the stories I read, apply to me. In all honesty I don’t expect you to gift me a “for ever after”, Not even close … Life has taught me that too much of any dose Is an accident dormant waiting at my door. No pressure, on the contrary I already won: By meeting you and living you I re-found my fund to love, What you gave me is everything a dreamers needs: A place to sleep, a cloud to touch and a smile that shines You defined and redefined my notion of a pure mind. So every time I tell you that you are beautiful, It is me in disbelief: Can’t believe she likes me.
