In all the excitement over the milk goat I forgot to update on our chicks! So, with 33 chicks received from Meyer three weeks ago 16 are now DEAD. They have been cared for and housed together with 16 chicks received the same day from Cackle. Of the 16 from Cackle, 1 has died and it happened the day after arrival. REALLY not happy that 1/2 of our Meyer investment is dead. Especially since the kids paid for 1/2 of them! They only cover losses the first 48 hrs though. So tough luck for us.
