In an effort to reduce school dropout cases and early marriages in #Kajiado West, area residents recently held a fund-raising where over Sh1.8 million was raised under Kimuka Bursary Fund Organisation. The residents who included leaders from the County plan to reduce illiteracy in Kajiado West, an area which has been lagging behind in education due to lack of learning institutions of higher learning. The area does not have a single college. Kajiado County Minority Leader, Justus Ngossor who is also the area MCA, said they will support development projects in the region. Politics took centre stage during the fund-raising with #MCAs, Ngossor of #Keekonyokie Ward, George Sunkuyia (Olkeri) and Onesmus Ngogoyo, attacking a politician whom they did not name for organising a similar event in the Ward. The politician allegedly organised the event with the help of those opposed to Kimuka Fund Chairman, Alex Partaati’s leadership. The tactic was meant to stop the main event from realising its objective.
