In an unbelievable stroke of genius and enterprise, Robert has fixed the broken icemaker in our fridge. It stopped working and it was past our warranty date and we knew it would be a few hundred to get someone to come in and fix it. Robert went online and just read the FAQ for the product and followed the troubleshooting instructions, first ordering one part and then going to the next troubleshooting step when it turned out to be some sensor in the machinery. The parts werent really expensive and sure enough, the online instructions said if your icemaker does X, this may be the problem and heres how to install this part. If that doesnt work, they tell you to go to the next probable cause and do the same thing. Within a week we had the parts in the mail and Robert put it in and IT WORKED!!! Hey, it saved us a few hundred dollars. It makes me feel a lot better knowing that things can actually be fixed by the customer. Its possible. Of course, it does help to have a tinkerer in the house. It was sad and miserable without our icemaker that poured little pieces of ice into our glasses so conveniently. But fixing stuff yourself . . . that is worth a lot to me. Bravo, Robert! You are my fixer.
