In between playing with puppies theres not much else to do so Ive been cleaning which is what I do when Im at home. Im done with the downstairs and the garage, even swept the driveway when I took out the trash. I took a break and drove to Greenville which was a BIG mistake, my first one of the day, on a tax free weekend before school starts. I had lunch at Chilis, love the Caribbean Salad, and that just happened to be in the same plaza as World Market which was fun and I got a lamp shade because Emily made fun of the one on the table in the garage foyer. :p Then I went to a huge shoe store where I got very cute shoes for $12 and it was on to Marshalls/HomeGoods. Mistake number 2 as it was packed with college kids buying up all sorts of stuff to do dorms I guess, I couldnt believe how nasty some of them were to their mothers but they were putting up with it. (Id have been in the car and left their cranky ass at the store.) I did find a little rug for the powder room I repainted though. Mistake number 3 and by far the biggest one was going to Target where I had an odd list of items to get. I had to replace stuff of Amandas that Id used up and I picked up the baking soda and a lemon because the microwave still smells a little burny/vinegary which I dont think Jim and Amanda will appreciate and theyll be back tomorrow. Got that stuff and was still walking around when I came upon a couple fighting over pregnancy tests and how many they should buy, the guy was really mad because they were expensive so I wanted to tell him to wait till the kid gets here and hell know expensive. He had a box of condoms too and I was very tempted to make a joke since I havent talked to anyone in person in days but I was afraid he might not see the same humor I was seeing so I didnt say anything. (Gavin would have been dragging me away.) Lots of families in there getting school supplies and more stuff for college, only saw one college kid being ugly when her mom suggested some stuff for her dorm and she rolled her eyes but there were lots of kids in there losing their damn minds over lunch boxes, brands of hand sanitizer, and pencils. Even saw a teenage boy with his arm in a cast trying to dribble a basketball in the store like he wasnt hurt enough, I wanted to break his other arm with him acting a fool in a packed store! The girl checking me out was exhausted and apologized that I had to wait to check out. I told her it was crazy, she had been there since 11am and wasnt getting out until 10pm tonight, I told her Id have cut someone by then, it was around 3:30pm. She said, I sure am about to! Even parents were losing it and yelling at each other all the way out in the parking lot. I unloaded my buggy, went to Starbucks for a Coffee Light Frappucino with peppermint syrup and drove the 30 minutes back to Amandas where I played with doggies and puppies, fed everyone, and cleaned some more to calm my nerves. Now Im getting ready for Big Brother and I might need a snack but Im too afraid to make popcorn again…..
