In blatant violation of the fundamental human right to dignity, the toll post at sarbal is in fact only an earning machine for Pahalgam Development Authority or an instrument of humiliation! The case in fact is that the people of pahalgam including women and children have been repeatedly humiliated by pda employees in this toll post at sarbal in the name of frisking, by being asked to come down from buses and other transport vehicles.Clearly employees of the said department have been openly violating human rights in the name of security check and frisking. There are absolutely no provisions for this illegally erected said toll post in the J&K Building Operation Control Act 1988 or The Jammu and Kashmir Development act 1970, (Amendment) Act, 2011, or any direction or order issued by the honble court to this effect. The people of the region must raise their voice against this and legally take up the matter before state administration or the honble court in the regard. Mushtaq Pahalgami
