In case you missed it, today was supposed to be the start of the revolution. Operation American Spring was the brainchild of retired colonel Harry Riley. The idea was that 10 million patriots would descend of Washington, DC and (for reasons that are far from clear) the constitutionally elected government would hand over the reigns of power to a bunch of - to put it kindly - semi-literate yokels. In the end, a couple hundred showed up, the majority of whom had accompanied Riley from Texas. Riley blamed the rain (these are *serious* patriots were talking about). The revolution ended around happy hour. I had Pete Santillis coverage playing in my office. They brought every crazy arrow in the crazy quiver: chemtrails, FEMA, UN black helicopters - they even accused Rudi Guliani of paying off Fox News to ignore it (yeah, Im still scratching my head over that one). Anyway, its comforting that even in the crazy place thats America, there are some things that are still too crazy to catch hold.
