In going back over my old Notes, I stumbled on to this one, written during the 2012 election campaign . . . sadly, the issues I raised then never left . . . one more time: The Legitimacy of Legitimate Rape August 21, 2012 at 10:32am There is a war brewing within the United States -- it is a war, deep down, about two things, and two things only: money and power . . . and the ideaology driving this land-grab for more of both is rooted in a dark, narrowly focused (almost medieval) mind set, something you might associate more with Attila the Hun than an enlightened Democratic society. Fat Cat Republicans -- too often a repository for fat frat boys who make fart jokes and try hard to slip the cookie jar over to their side of the table, all the while looking for tip money for strippers (and dont think for a minute that they arent lovin the economic disparity they have created, and want to perpetuate, forever, that drives more and more young women to take their clothes off for money so these smalldickwhiteboys can use their tens and twenties in a meaningful way) -- have aligned themselves in some crazy May-December romance with Evangelical Christians, many of whom are in constant warfare themselves with their inner urges -- a battle far too many of them lose -- and who have somehow found a beautiful message of love and light and twisted it in to a manifesto that says, at its root level, that women are subservient to man. A convenient thought for a man unable to understand women to take -- And not only that, it is a philosophy that preaches tolerance for all -- with just a few exceptions; Liberals, ethnic minorities, foreigners, artists, feminists, really anyone with an IQ over 85 who doesnt have a net worth or at least $20 Million . . . I have been warning that a War Against Women was going to happen, right out in the bright light of day, since late 2006 but it is getting more oppressive and more obvious and this latest dose of Creationist biology by Mr. Akin (and Im sorry, whenever I hear his name now I have flashbacks to The Lion King --- are you achin for some bacon) is but one loud mouth example of a mode of thinking that is widespread. These people actually BELIEVE this non-sense. So, do yourself a favor this November -- whenever you see one of these boys running for office, do something theyll remember. VOTE for whoever is running against them. You have the power, but only if you exercise it. There is NO LEGITIMATE RAPE and anyone who believes there is simply is not a LEGITIMATE CANDIDATE for the United States Senate. Period. End . . . of . . . Story. There is no place for these fools in our government. Make sure that Mr. Akin and his kind realize their ideas are not the norm for the United States and much as some of them may wish to bring on Armageddon and live like high-tech Cave Men, intelligent members of American society will not tolerate their madness nor allow their sick twisted thinking to spread any further . . . it is time quite literally and QUITE EMPHATICALLY for this shit to end.
