In high school there was a particular bully who singled out the smaller guys… I was one of his targets…one day, between classes, while I was using the urinal; he came into the boy’s room. He grabbed my shoulder and pulled me around. This was a favorite prank resulting in the victim peeing on the floor. I turned back; finished my business and, to both his and my surprise I attacked him. I knocked him to the floor. Luckily for me (as I said he was bigger) a passing teacher heard the ruckus from the hall and came to break it up. That boy never bullied me again. I’ve never been a war hawk but I know not standing up to intimidators’ results in further bullying.
