In honor of National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week, we want to mention a great organization: Casa del Toro Pit Bull Rescue! In addition to rescuing pit bulls in need, CDT provides education and tools to end animal fighting and abuse, oversees the kennel enrichment program at Indianapolis Animal Care and Control, and uses door-to-door outreach to provide resources to the community. Their mission is as follows: “To serve dogs identified as Pit Bulls by fostering responsible pet ownership, enriching the lives of shelter animals and rescuing dogs for permanent placement in quality homes.” Thank you for standing up for some of the greatest dogs there are, Casa Del Toro!
