In honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, this clip is of wounded warriors singing and playing with the Kansas City Symphony. The song is not about Pearl Harbor but it caused me to pause and think of those soldiers who died and were wounded all those years ago. How can we ever thank our service men and women and Veterans enough? My grandpa was in the navy at the time and was part of the cleanup effort after the attack on Pearl Harbor - he never talked to me about what he did and saw there or later in combat. He told me here are just some things a man didnt tell his grandchildren. Again, I dont know how to honor those that serve and carry wounds from that service. I will remember Pearl Harbor today but it hardly seems enough to honor those that fought then, since, and now. I remain a grateful civilian.
