#141 Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered rechecking of Intermediate Part-I examination results. According to a handout on Tuesday, the Higher Education Department has issued instructions to the chairmen of all the eight boards of education to start rechecking of all papers immediately. It has further been decided that rechecking will be completely fair and no fee will be charged from any student. The process has started and it will be ensured that all results are correct. Every answer sheet will be thoroughly scrutinized to ensure that no question is left unmarked while the marks obtained will also be compared with award lists. The total number of candidates will also be verified. All objective questions will be rechecked and errors will be removed. This checking will be undertaken by examiners and not computers. Four different teams in every board of education will work round the clock in different shifts which have started working. It has further been decided to take heads of private and public sector educational institutions in the respective areas of boards of education into confidence who can personally observe rechecking process through contacting the chairman concerned of the boards. Transfers, postings: The Punjab government has issued a notification regarding transfers and postings of following officers on Tuesday. Shaukat Ali Khichi, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has replaced Raja Hafiz Akhtar, Deputy Secretary Higher Education, who has been made OSD. Sohaib Ahmed Roomi, District and Sessions Judge Faisalabad, has been transferred and posted as Presiding Officer, Labour Court Sargodha. Mohammed Aslam, Director Child Protection Bureau, has been promoted to BS-19 and upon promotion transferred and posted as EDO (F&P) Bahawalpur. Mushtaq Ahmed Malik, DDO (HRM) Sahiwal, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director (Investigation) Anti Corruption Establishment Okara. Senior Advocate Ashtaro Ausaf has been appointed as Prosecutor General Punjab. Additional charge of Director General Public Relations Punjab has been given to Tahir Raza Hamdani till further orders. Earlier, the additional charge of the DGPR was given to Shoaib-bin-Aziz, Press Secretary to CM Punjab, a few days ago.
