In late March, we sent letters to 173 Shentel Internet customers addressing their excessive data usage. This represents less than 0.4% of all customers. We reached out to these customers because their excessive use negatively impacts the performance of Shentel internet services provided to nearby friends and neighbors. We will continue to notify excessive Internet users of their usage and work with them to moderate their usage patterns. In an effort to help customers keep track of their data use, we added a Data Usage Tracker to My Account on shentel. Customers who have cable Internet service through Shentel will find their monthly data usage on their bill at the bottom of the Internet service box.
