In lieu of recent events, I came very close to deactivating my profile this morning. But, Ive decided against it. My personal life may have been exposed, distorted, and completely blown out of proportion without my consent, and at first thought that can be painful to anyone. In these situations, some may choose to fight, and some may choose to run away...but I choose neither. I have nothing to defend myself for, and I have nothing to hide from. You can start up rumors about someone, spread lies, and destroy their image...but these things cannot destroy a person. The thing is, I care very little about my social media image. And you shouldnt. Nobody should. What destroys you is what is within yourself. If you let other peoples perceptions destroy your image of yourself, you are letting them affect your identity. I know who I am. I know what is within me. Nobody else can destroy that. If what is within you is destroying you, I am very sorry for you. Truly and honestly. I hope you can manage to overcome it yourself. But please dont try to destroy other people.
