In lieu of responding to the numbers Ive received, I thought I would share this. When I first started at AG, we were given an assignment in a writing class to answer the question, “Who Am I?, and this is what came out. TMI, I know, but Im feeling lazy. And most of you already know this stuff about me, anyway. :) I sometimes think I could be the poster child for Dr. Phil I wonder if that gerbil on the wheel will ever get tired inside my brain I put too much faith in the Magic 8 Ball I’m a Taurus, but I prefer to be called persistent instead of stubborn I’m an optimist, after all I see red when I’m passionate about something, but it takes a lot to make me charge I’m patient and persistent and hate to give up I will never understand people who don’t try I prefer stability to uncertainty I stick my toe in the water before I jump in I’ll take the box of chocolate caramels over the assortment I like what I like I require consistency in people, but crave spontaneity in their actions I’m the first one to suggest dessert, but last one to order my meal I am a sports fanatic I’m best at traditional male chores like watching football on Thanksgiving Day I have always wished I was a boy, but am thankful for my female mind I’m athletic, but not usually competitive …except with myself I’m more of a closer than a starting pitcher I like to put the icing on the cake I’m a quarterback by nature, but I’m a big fan of tight ends :o) I’d rather give than receive I’ve been told that I can talk, but I’d really rather listen I hate to admit it, but I have a talent for building up and hiding behind walls I’m stimulated by conversation and comforted by touch I’m motivated by love and random acts of kindness I’m inspired by people who are true to themselves I’m a cheerleader, but I’ve never owned pom-poms I’m drawn to people’s eyes I believe in a mind-body connection I strive for balance I think laughter is as essential as oxygen It’s even better with a side of snorting and tears I’m susceptible to contagious laugh I’m attracted to a beautiful smile I love singing in the car I drive like a maniac, and yes, I dance like one, too I’ve even worn pink leg warmers I’m not a TV girl, but I love the movies I always root for the underdog I’m a hopeless romantic I could spend an entire day quoting song lyrics and movie lines from my childhood I admire people who say what’s on their minds I am forever grateful for my family and friends I love to make angels in the snow I’ve been known to go for walks in the rain I do it because I can I’m not a morning person I try to solve the world’s problems when I lay down in bed at night I often wonder why the washing machine always kidnaps one sock I sometimes try to lick my elbow I can’t imagine what I could do if I had more confidence I’d like an injection, please I trust the power of communication I’m amazed by the power of love I once got in trouble for pretending I had Wonder Twin powers back in sixth grade I have no tolerance for dishonesty I detest a mean-spirit I’d rather clean a toilet than iron clothes I enjoy the outdoors I can hike for miles I’m overwhelmed by natural beauty I find gardening to be therapeutic I’ve discovered I have quite the green thumb I talk to most animals, especially the squirrels I can’t resist doing cartwheels on a freshly cut lawn I’m a poet and a photographer I transform clouds into shapes I watch birds with great pleasure I would like a pet monkey, or a pig, or a cow I clap when a duck lands on water I love the smell of fall I brown my marshmallows instead of burn them I want to paint the silhouette of a tree at dusk I am soothed by gentle breezes, but can do without strong winds I look forward to seeing more sunrises I’m excited about tomorrow I’m going to let the gerbil run, but listen harder to my heart I will make a difference I’m definitely going to vote.
