In light of the recent not so great news on the business front I - TopicsExpress

In light of the recent not so great news on the business front I wanted to share a positive story. SALA Salon is owned by my partner Sandina. Its an independently, locally owned business and while it sells Aveda products it is not a franchise nor is owned by Aveda. The business employs 12 people who all live in our community and the priority over the last 4 weeks has been to keep them working and employed. Those of you have have been following her story will know that she brought a mobile hair styling trailer up from LA in the aftermath of the quake, but thats a whole other story. Anyway after 3 weeks and 6 days she finally got the doors back open last Saturday. In addition to almost a month of no income we are also well over $100,000 (and counting) in the hole to get it back up and running. With our house as collateral in the business we had no choice but to spend this money and get the business open. If you can support her business it would be appreciated This Friday as part of the Napa Valley Rocks weekend they will be offering shampoo and blow-dry’s with their protégé’s, head/neck/shoulder massages, and treating you to AVEDA product samples. These services will have a suggested donation amount, with proceeds going to the Napa Valley Community Relief Fund.
