In my Junior Year of High School, all of the students were required to go to the School Prom Assembly in order to buy a ticket to Prom.This Prom Assembly was hosted by a comedian called Dirt which turned out to be not so funny after all. Every word that came out of his mouth was foul and crude. About an hour into the assembly, I couldnt stand to listen to him any longer so I grabbed my things and started walking to the door. Multiple teachers commented about how disrespectful I was, and that I should be ashamed of myself. I continued to walk out the door into the hallway, and it was then that I felt a sense of peace and comfort knowing that I had made the right decision. There will be plenty of times where we will have to stand up for whats right, even when others tell us otherwise. It may not be popular, or common but in the end God will bless those who choose him over the things of the world. I know this to be true ,because I have seen it in my own life. As we strive to follow our Savior Jesus Christ he will help us receive the strength to stand up for what we believe in, and have the confidence to do what is right.
