In my gut, I can feel the tension, the excitement, the anxiousness, the anticipation building for the game this Saturday. This game against DeSoto has such a number of grand possibilities riding on it... At stake is the possibility of Allen EAGLES winning THREE state championships in a row, and becoming the 1st-ever, 6a Div 1 State Champions. How many teams can claim that achievement? Would still have a long way to go, even after a win against DeSoto. The chance for Allen Eagles to go 2 entire seasons undefeated, and retain their status as #1 Football Team in Texas. The chance for Kyler Murray to finish out his high school tenure as an undefeated starting QB in the toughest part of TEXAS for football... adding to the impressive legacy hes already created For the offense to prove once again they are a scoring machine, capable of doing so from any place on the field, any down... the BOOM factor For a young defense to prove theyve grown into their own, to do what it takes to stave off the toughest offense theyve faced this year For the coaching staff to prove their skills in figuring out how to deal with so many injuries and best utilize the remaining uninjured For Coach Westerberg, to once again, prove to Claude Mathis a better way to coach high school football... with respect for the players, and himself, rather than through intimidation and on-field emotional antics AND, for Allen fans to have bragging rights for yet another year, that our EAGLES football team has once again defeated THE team that many sport prognosticators predict will win. From the starting kick-off, to the 4th Qtr clock ticking off the final seconds, lets go EAGLES! Play hard, play smart... PLAY LIKE CHAMPIONS! ALLEN EAGLES! FIGHT! FIGHT!! FIGHT!!!
