In my mad quest to make BoB stats for every single miniature I own, my fevered eyes landed upon my fairly large but totally neglected Warmachine Khador army. I instantly thought, hey! How about BoB Warmachine?? Since I love the models but Im not really a fan of the game at all... So anyway, after reading and thinking and thinking and reading, I decided BoB probably cant duplicated the Warcaster/Warjack/Focus mechanic of Warmachine, and thats not a bad thing! So it occurred to me that what I really love is the Jacks! And I would love Warmachine more if the Jacks had character of their own, so why not make BoB forces with the minis I love?!?! So my idea is this: I fictional earth, far in the future or far in the past, no one knows. Mankind is gone. Driven to extinction in a war they started and fought with diabolical forces of steam powered machine soldiers made living by ancient knowledge; the Forge Born. The different houses of the Forge Born fight on, centuries after the last human withered to dust and bones. Fighting to survive amid the ruins of the earth. Fighting for power, for resources, fighting because it is why they were created. Most are just brutish automatons, almost mindless, but a growing number have begun to awaken, to learn and feel after centuries of existence. Their magically endowed clockwork brains evolving and changing far beyond their original purpose. They have learned to hate. And to fear. But also, to hope. Loyalty, brotherhood, and a will to defend each other. My warbands will only use the machine models from Warmachine, no biological creature. Steampunk Golems and raging machines of destruction fighting each other to survive! Evil armor plated Arcanists, smoke belching heroes wielding cannon and axe! I picture a weird steampunk version of the War For Cybertron. Im so excited! :)
