In my tenure as a vocalist at the Top of the Mark at the Mark Hopkins hotel in San Fran I had the pleasure of meeting Robin Williams several times. The first time he graciously came to the stage, introduced himself (as if I didnt recognize him), and preceded to compliment my singing. I was so flattered that he came to me. He was with a few other famous folks. One being George Lucas. They all were so friendly and unassuming. From that moment I was a fan. I saw him a handful of times after that and he would say oh I see you are still hanging out in seedy establishments. WOW... He remembers me. He was such a good guy and it pains me that he did not have the joy he brought to so many. Im prayerful that he is at peace. So many of our entertainers give so much of themselves and we take so much from them. We all need to consider the price they pay to entertain us. I think when we do that and put ourselves in their shoes we will realize they are human and in need of love and prayer ALL the time. God bless you all and remember you are loved by many.
