In my todays post on Pa. Josiah Akindayomi, I want to tell a few of the incredible miracles that marked the ministry of this uncommon Prophet of the Most High. By the way, it was a pipe dream when he prophesied that there will soon come time when RCCG will become a household name. This of course is the case today. Akindayomis RCCG Headquarters in Ebute Metta, Lagos, Nigeria used to share common boundary with Leventis Motors back in the 1960s. This was a problem as Baba never got to have a parking space for his car. One day in particular, he had come to his office but his parking space was taken by Leventis as usual. Baba was displeased! He went to inspect the particular car that took his space, stared at it for long minutes and stormed off into his office with his driver still at the steering and still at loss for where to park the car. Some members of the Leventis staff watched this drama unfold and in few long minutes, they got the offending driver to repark his car so Akindayomi can park his humble car in peace. Just as the Leventis driver turned on the ignition of the brand new car, it mysteriously caught fire! The driver fled for his dear life and needless to say, that was the last time anyone ever parked in Babas space again! Baba was very fond of his driver and often had him travelling at a dngerously high speed. On one occasion he told the youngman (Pastor Mullero who now pastors in RCCG) Please drive as fast as possible, God already told me I will not die by accident. One day, Papa had to prove that God really spoke those words to him as his driver(not Mulero) suddenly had a flat tire on high speed and summersaulted several times before ending in the bush. Miraculous Papa said he was out of the car by the hand of an angel not knowing how but there he was without a single scratch on his body, watching his car summersault! Jesus is truly Lord! Another day, Akindayomi was trvelling with his driver, this time Pastor Mulero, and his entire family only for his tire to puncture. The Prophet said seriously Dont stop, keep going, we must get to Lagos and sure enough the deflated tire got supernaturally inflated and they got to Lagos with no troubles! On another occasion as he travelled, they ran out of fuel at the middle of nowhere. There was no filling station in sight. Akindayomi simply said to his driver pointing to a nearby flowing stream Go and get that flowing fuel into the car and let us continue our journey His driver did just like the servants did fill those pots with water at the wedding feast of Cana, Mystery! As the car was started, it roared back to life and the journey continued! When they got to Lagos, the driver started draining the water from the cars tank. It was still water but it did the job! Even the elements obeyed Papa. He didnt have to shout. In a crusade, the cloud suddenly bacame thick with cloud but Papa unperturbed by it simply said Rain, not today. I am busy and the cloud obeyed and dispersed instantly. Details of Akindayomis anointed and soul stirring ministry are available in the books WARRIOR OF RIGHTEOUSNESS and SEED IN THE GROUND. I opine that Akindayomi had such anointing on his life because of his life of fasting, holiness and prayer. Amazing to know that to a large extent, these were also true about A.A.
