In mythology, and in the study of folklore and religion, a trickster is a god, goddess, spirit, man, woman, or anthropomorphic animal who exhibits a great degree of intellect or secret knowledge and uses it to play tricks or otherwise disobey normal rules and conventional behaviour. Watching several episodes of Heroes, were Sylar is a trickster. Heroes is a story about humans with a genetic predisposition for miracles: shifting things, healing, flying etc. In the beginning a scientitst Dr. Suresh visits Gabrial aka Sylar and tells him that his powers are not special enough. Sylar wants to be special (don;t we all?)
