In order to support local farms and help promote healthy lifestyles, environmental stewardship, the preservation of New Hampshire’s working landscape and the fight against hunger, First Gentleman Tom Hassan is encouraging Granite Staters to participate in Food Day, a national campaign aimed at improving local food systems that culminates on October 24. “Participating in Food Day is a great way for Granite Staters to celebrate making healthy choices and support our local farms and agriculture,” Tom Hassan said. “Use Food Day as an opportunity to visit a local farm with your children and cook a meal together using the produce that you find, or take steps to solve food-related problems in our communities by donating to a food drive. By taking part in Food Day, we can support our local economy and help improve the health of our families and communities, preserve our state’s working landscape and reduce hunger.”
