In other climes unlike Naija, negotiation is exhausted b4 strike bcoms d last resort. And wen they embark on strike, they ensure their demands are met notwithstanding hw long it takes. Hweva, d story is diffnt in naija. Strike as a last tool against unfavorable, unaccepted & unpopular policy & programs of govt, organisatns & institutions has bin bastardized & made weak as a result of it frequent usage. Trade unions like Nupeng, Asuu, & civil societies group like Save Nigeria Group shud employ strike as a last resort only wen all other means hav failed. And wen they do, its weight shud b felt & far reaching. Union leaders & liberty groups in naija shud take a clue frm d arab world & not d kind of strike Asuu is embarking evry now & then...
