In posting the following message just found in my inbox, It is not my intention to glorify my latter teaching style which is found in the comments this former beautiful student just sent ( and will remain unnamed) . Although I am so very grateful for the complimentary memories she has of me, I feel it imperative to share her opinion on where the district is heading...and how the recent newspaper article (see below) struck her ,, with such an impact. My own issue is still in a resolution state , for a multitude of citizens in the city and throughout the country itself have urged me to take the steps to clear my own character of the innuendos and reasons for demanding my compliance or termination .Following the firing of Chris LeBlanc, I was made the target of inferences that were construed by many and brought back to me that my connection here with the students on my totally open fb account could be a danger in itself , and the students needed to be protected. My career of 35 years of teaching was defamed inferentially and I do not intend to walk away from this challenge. This young mother who cared enough about the community in Cornish asked me to attend the board meeting with her tonight. I read the message too late, else I would have been there to support her. I urge the Cornish citizens to write to their board and do so. Below is the letter I received tonight from a former student that I so admired years ago,,,,and continue to do so ..
