In response to post by Garry Gary Schmitz: Thank you for the blog for P. A. M. and your 14 years of observations and conclusions. First, let me say that I totally agree with almost 80% of your findings and comments. I am suspicious of the miracle drug and instant cure, but hope and faith are important for many. As a recipe for success, PLWP and their Carers require a variety options to achieve access to quality daily living. The Foundations are all always too top heavy with salaries, except for the WPC, World Parkinson Coalition. It has only one full time employee to coordinate a $2 million triennial event for the entire global Parkinson community. Registrations, donations and volunteers cover all the expenses!! Advocacy is very interesting. We need voices! We only have about 40% of those PLWP diagnosed, involved at any level. Let people use their best skills, time and creative talents to further extend our message, goals and objectives. My only requirement has been, that it be an unselfish sharing of information or helpful tools in a not for profit environment. The best example of this has been the recently published, 2013, The Peripatetic Pursuit of Parkinsons Disease by a collective collaboration of PLWP & Carers. I am totally committed to sharing their walk in my pursuit of hope, help & happiness! Thanks Peggy Willocks & group! Just my 2 cents! Dxd @ 46, 1995
