Many Swedes came to work in the factories in New Britain. About Eskilstuna - Eskilstuna grew enormously during the Industrial Revolution and became one of the most important industrial cities of Sweden, earning the nickname Stålstaden (The City of Steel). It is written mostly in Swedish and contains interviews with many Swedish American people in New Britain, Connecticut and the surrounding area. Contained in the book, there are interviews with people I have known, and a history of many of the Swedish American organizations and churches in the area.
