In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain. For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. – Psalm 11:1-2 (NIV) While those around King David stated that he was easy prey and should run for the hills, David responded that God is his refuge. It is easy to lose perspective when we feel threatened, but what the world needs to see are a people who look danger in the face and proclaim that God is over all that is happening. May we be known for our trust in God instead of hearts that melt at the first thought of danger. This is what being a witness of Christ is all about.
