In the Spring of 2000, I started listening to Tony Robbins. I paid for his product over time on QVC. I finished the program and one exercise was to write five goals for yourself that you thought could not possibly be achieved. I was 34, unmarried and in debt. I wrote that I was married with two kids. I was out of debt. I owned a four bedroom home. Been to France and saw the Eiffel Tower and that I went to Germany and saw the Reine River. * Single. Not even a boyfriend. Broke. In Debt. Living in an Apartment. I met my husband on the Internet in August of 2000. I was married to in December of 2000. I had my first child by 2001. We PCS moved to Germany. During the four years there, I was on the Reine River many times. I went to France and saw the Eiffel Tower twice. I also went to Pompeii, I hadnt even written that down, but it was a life long dream. I went to Amsterdam and saw Anne Franks apartment. I returned to the US and we bought our first home. You guessed it Four Bedrooms. We had no debt. Weve even bought another home, and we have some debt. Now we have two homes and a mobile home. So whats the point? I made plans. They didnt work out exactly HOW I thought they would, but they worked out pretty well. I set the goal and let go of HOW it should happen, only that it should happen. *I also put down my salary, a degree I eventually earned but hadnt thought off, and that Id learn French. Today I face every day getting up and not seeing my husbands face. I plan to see him every day. He is the unmovable object. I am the unstoppable force. Something will change. I will see him every day. I just let go of HOW it will happen. Plans dont break us. Telling the universe HOW your plans must work out, might.
