As the story goes, a diverse group of people, gave up or were stripped of their cultural uniqueness while a plethora of spoken means of communication were reduced into a common tongue...and God did not like it one bit. To only see one color, language, culture, love, talent, skill, personality trait as acceptable and welcome at the table is to say only one thread in the quilt of life...which God created and called/calls GOOD, is beautiful or worthy.
