In the book, The Beloved Disciple, by Beth Moore she explains what set the apostle Paul apart from the other disciples. John stood by Jesus whether he was on the Mount of Transfiguration or in the deep of Gethsemane suffering. John clung to Jesus when he raised the dead, and he clung to Jesus when he became the dead. John stood by him when human reasoning implied his faithful Leaders mission had failed. So here is the question for us, what do we do when we cant explain what Jesus is doing? Will we remain nearby when He hasnt stopped a tragedy? Will we stand by faith and trust HIM when human logic says to run? Thats what will set us apart.
