In the coming months, two old Victorian buildings will become the home of a new creative venture: the Woodstock Co-op, which will offer affordable multiple size retail and studio space to local design talent offering unique products in design, fashion, furniture and the artistic fields. In short, it will facilitate a much needed popup shop facility for individuals who seek to surround themselves with like minded traders. Each member will treat their allocated space as an artistic installation and in doing so create a unique fusion making up of an eclectic creative emporium style daily market intending to draw attention to the upscale urban modernist. The Woodstock Co-op will consider all new potential members submitting a letter of intention forwarded to thewoodstockcoop@gmail or phoning 072 134 0251 for more info. The letter must consist of a short biography of the owner and the product or service they sell together with photographs and most importantly stipulate the size of space required. CollabCapeTown will conduct a short telephonic or personal interview with all candidates. LOCATION! The Woodstock Co-op is situated at 357 & 359 Albert Road just before the Old Biscuit Mill coming from town. It consist of two old Victorian shop front properties joined together consisting of almost 600 sqm on three levels. The old building has stood closed for almost 20 years and was used for packaging storage The Woodstock Co-op intends to be open Mondays to Saturdays 9am – 5pm.
