In the first phase of this mega project drinking water was to be drawn from Yamuna River by installing Ranney Wells (Radial Collector Well) near Rahimpur & Maholi in District Faridabad. This water was to be conveyed through 900mm / 800mm id PSC (Pre-Stressed Concrete) pipes Rising Mains to Main Boosting Station in village Kondal & Maryaki and there after it was to be pumped to Intermediate boosting Stations through 350mm-800mm dia Ductile Iron (DI) and Asbestos Cement (AC) pipe. Further this water was to be distributed to Subsidiary Boosting Station through 100mm to 300mm dia pipe line for serving 258 villages of Mewat District. In spite of this Under this Segment, there was a proposal for installation of Injection Wells for Water Harvesting and Recharging the ground water table adjoining Aravali Hills and then installing additional 332 Nos. tube wells and 42 Nos. Boosting Stations to augment the water supply requirement of 245 villages. The implementing Agency. i. e HPE had already spent an amount of Rs. 205.91 crore against the project but the water supply system in the area have not been improved yet and even after first phase of this mega project for providing drinking water to the consumers of the Mewat region is claimed to be completed. There is not even a single village in the district which is getting water under this mega project in proper manner.
