In the midst of the daily grind, it is easy to forget that just 3 1/2 months ago we almost lost our precious eldest daughter. We are so fortunate. We got to bring home the same fantastic, smart, funny girl from before her accident on March 25th. When I read about other kids or families going through similar traumas, I am flooded with the emotions and memories of that day, and the following days in the hospital. God has been so good to our family! I am thankful for our victories, and I dont want to forget or take it for granted. We are still on the road to recovery with our girl, but we have traversed the most rugged parts. It is difficult to juggle being protective with allowing her to be a very active 11 year old. Our girl, and our family, was surrounded by the grace and healing of God in the midst of our darkest hour.
