In the modern world, as was the case when Our Blessed Lord walked - TopicsExpress

In the modern world, as was the case when Our Blessed Lord walked the earth preparing His Disciples to construct His Holy Church, people liked to judge the sins of others and within that scope tend to invoke an inner hatred towards other sinners, note that I say (Other Sinners.) Know that Jesus said, If a man saith he love God and hate his brother he is a liar; fore, how can you love God Whom you have not seen and hate your brother whom you have seen? With that quote from the Word of the Lord be warned fellow Christians of the world; if you say that you love God and because of what you have decided to judge against others, Christ Himself is calling your love a lie, your devotion a fraud, and your reverence is fake. The person who points the finger of judgement and condemnation against his fellow man invoking the fires of hatred from within which has no other outlet than onto the rest of the world is not truly in hatred against what he or she believes they are; rather, it is their self whom they despise. It is remarkable that those who spout out the most self-righteous forms of hatred are the very ones whose lives are in contradict to exactly what they proclaim to be truth; although, it is not surprising at all because they have not welcomed, embraced, and are not inflamed by He Who is the Truth. The old adage is, fear not the man who can take thy life, but fear he who can destroy thy soul. There is no one in the entire world who can truly destroy your soul other than yourself; we are our own worst enemies, and rather than tasking the stones at those whom you feel entitled to judge, perhaps you should act upon what you truly fear the most, look within the deep recesses of your own soul and tell me what you see. If you want to know what you can despise and hate then by all means read the quotation from Archbishop Sheen below; pray, meditate, and reflect and what he was and is still to this day saying, and as always, God love you all. Deacon John “It is not hatred that is wrong, it is hating the wrong thing that is wrong. It is not anger that is wrong, it is being angry at the wrong thing that is wrong. Tell me your enemy, and I will tell you what you are. Tell me your hatred, and I will tell you your character. Do you hate religion? Then your conscience bothers you. Do you hate the wealthy? Then you are avaricious, and you want to be wealthy. Do you hate sin? Then you love God. Do you hate your hate, your selfishness, your quick temper, your wickedness? Then you are a good soul, for ‘if any man come to me… and hate not his own life, he cannot be my disciple’ Luke 14:26” Archbishop Fulton Sheen (Victory over Vice)
