In the past, education was driven by the 3 R’s, reading, writing and arithmetic; now the focus is on STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. No matter the curriculum focus, for many, the greatest lessons learned in life are not those read in a book or heard in a lecture hall; they are those learned through experience.
