In the past two weeks I have had my rig worked on so I should be ready for anything. Good thing, too cuz its very interesting around here already. Got new brakes and today got new snow tires. Yup. Im good. Thankfully, Im head into the home stretch on the radiation therapy front. Just have the rest of this week and all of next week and Ill be finished. In some ways Ive had a harder time with radiation than chemo. Radiation is more intense because I have to go every weekday and Im burning like a mad dog. Also, the fatigue is mind numbing and even tho Im tired I cant sleep. Im also experiencing severe headaches that border onto migraines. The oddest part is the emotional toll this is taking. Ive been informed I am now post menopausal so Im a wreck. Mike is a saint as far as it goes cuz Ive exhibited some crazy-making behaviors. Fortunately, we have very open communication, but still, its been intense at times. Lastly, my sister-in-law has published her first book. Boo yah! She rocks! So everyone should check out Mostly Dead Melvin by Foinah Jameson. Its on iTunes, Amazon and at Barnes and Nobles. Its a fun romp thru Portland with Melvin for whom nothing goes well or right. He cant even die right. Foi is quick witted and slightly wicked and has a twist on the whole vampire genre. So enjoy. Well be hearing more from her next year. Oh, and she also has several short stories that can be found online.
