In the process, he’s exposed a rich vein of hypocrisy in the Left — and, more significantly, an intellectual rift between hard-line and multiculturalist atheists. That rift is growing fast: non-believers, having exhausted their anti-Christian rhetoric, are turning on each other with the ferocity of religious zealots. Enjoy. Im glad to find that people are starting to realize (thanks to Dawkins, no less) that staunch, dogmatic atheism is just as unreasoned & unexamined as fundamentalist Christianity, Islam & other religions. They are all different faces of the same monster. And it is precisely what happens when people start clinging to dogma as a belief system, rather than work it out for themselves via reading, theology, philosophy, logic & conversation. The problem is when people assume that they already have all of the answers & that they have the perfect interpretation of all of the material -- whether it be biblical or scientific. If that were the case, after all, why would there even to this day be so many denominations & varying theological viewpoints within Christianity -- not to mention the difference in interpretation of facts among scientists? Dawkins has thus become a somewhat unexpected but nevertheless glorious example of what happens when one in fighting monsters, becomes that against which one is fighting. And for the first time ever, I really am impressed with how well he has proven this point for all to see! Thanks, Dawkins!
