In the space of 12 hours, thousands of Shias from Iraq, betrayed and abandoned the Ahlel Bayt (Muslim Bin Aqeel and Hussain (RA), after initially pledging allegiance to them. All it took was some sweet talking, some bribes, and their own built in cowardice. Muslim Bin Aqeel was thrown from a high place to his death, his last statement (other than the Shahadah), was Allah you be the judge between us and the people of Kufa, our Shia have abandoned us. Hussain (RA) went to Kufa after receiving letters of support from the Shias there, he was unaware of their betrayal, and his brothers death.
